About Us

The 79 CMF SHRM chapter serves as a virtual centralized chapter for Soldiers and Veterans of the 79 series career management field.  

The chapter's primary focus is to provide support, professional development, networking, and SHRM familiarization and recertification training.

As a secondary effort, the chapter will contribute to 79 CMF proponent industry-related feedback in support of curriculum development both for the chapter and institutionally delivered training products. The chapter is independently operated by the Soldiers and Veterans of the 79 CMF.

Membership

79 CMF SHRM chapter will be operated virtually to maximize support to prospective members as a zero cost-zero revenue organization. It will rely entirely on members’ eligibility for military benefits and individual payments. To become a member of the virtual chapter, 79 series Soldiers and Veterans must be SHRM members and maintain their yearly membership. 

Cost

79 CMF SHRM chapter will be operated virtually to maximize support to prospective members as a zero cost zero revenue organization.

Chapter Leadership

The 79 CMF SHRM chapter board is comprised of seven voting members; President, President-elect, VP Curriculum development, VP Membership, secretary, treasurer, and the Past president (will serve in an advisory role). All board members must be SHRM members in good standing.
